Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!  I hope you all had a great summer! 

Parents/Guardians, I know you are getting a lot of information right now... and lots of paperwork to fill out.  Your student spends almost 1/3 of his/her day at school.  Please make sure we have the medical information we need to care for them while they are here each day.  Please fill out the Health Information Card completely and return it to school as soon as possible.  Be sure to initial any listed over the counter medications that student has permission to take at school if the nurse feels like it is necessary.   Make sure that your student has emergency medication in the clinic if the doctor has ordered them at home (such as Epi-pen, inhaler, nebulizer medication).  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

This is a VERY informative site from the CDC on concussion and brain injury in children. I would urge every parent to read up and learn about how concussions affect your child. They are not "just a concussion".
